Strymon El Capistan

El Capistan V1 is a tape delay pedal by Strymon Engineering. Released in 2010, it was superseded by El Capistan V2 in 2022.

El Capistan has three tape head modes (tape machines): “fixed”, “multi” and “single” and three modes for each of the machines. It features tap tempo, expression pedal input, mono input and stereo output.

By holding down both TAP and BYPASS buttons you can access secondary functions such as spring reverb, boost/cut, tape bias, etc.
