
Guv’nor is a distortion pedal by Marshall first released in 1988 and re-issued again in 2023. It was created in the late 80s to replicate the drive tones of the Marshall Plexi and JCM800 amplifiers.
Guv’nor features five knobs: Gain, three-stage EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble) and Level.
Because it was developed as the “Amp in the box”, just like many classic tube amps, it features an effect loop
