Electro Harmonix Big Muff PI

Big Muff PI is a fuzz pedal manufactured by Electro Harmonix (aka EHX) in USA since 1970. It’s also very popular among bass players. Big Muff’s tone stage is a combination of high-pass and low-pass filters mixed by a single potentiometer giving it unique frequency response profile ranging from fat to squeaky.

Big Muff has multiple variations including those using germanium transistors, built in smaller enclosures.

Notable users of Big Muff PI include Carlos Santana and David Gilmour.
