El Capistan V2 is a tape delay effect pedal by Strymon Engineering released in 2022, direct successor to El Capistan that was in production since 2010.
As its predecessor, El Capistan has three tape head modes (tape machines): “fixed”, “multi” and “single” and three modes for each of the machines. It features tap tempo, expression pedal input, mono input and stereo output.
In addition to V1 it offers Mono/Stereo input toggle on back panel and a USB-C input to load presets onto the pedal. Also, it has additional knob “Spring” to add spring reverb to the wet signal without changing its overall level.
